Our EduTec gurus
We often get the questions regarding the format, assessment, and expectations of a thesis. We have been summaries the most common question in the FAQs here: LINK. On the following page, we provide some examples of very good Bachelor / Master theses. These are students that followed our school and became the EduTec guru’s we are aiming for. Congratulations once again, it was a pleasure to support you in your thesis!

EduTec guru: Gianluca, Romano
Category: Master thesis
The Master thesis of Gianluca, Romano made an important contribution to the Multi-Modal Learning Analytics (MMLA) research field. He researched and demonstrated how today’s affordable sensors systems can be applied to advance not only cognitive but also psychomotor learning tasks such as dancing. Mr. Romano’s  Dancing trainer has been assessed as very good, as it has the potential to impact established teaching and learning scenarios and could fundamentally change the way we learn to dance in the near future. His thesis is very well-positioned in the current literature. Mr. Romano developed a working prototype, tested its acceptance with real users, investigated the outcomes of the study, and finally outlines future challenges and opportunities for his project and the broader research field.

EduTec guru: Egon, Leute
Category: Bachelor thesis
The Bachelor thesis by Egon Leute is a very interesting thesis that takes advantage of an existing OULAD dataset and demonstrates practical learning analytics approaches and insights on the OULAD dataset. The entire thesis is very well organized and structured. Mr. Leute also provided a Jupyter Notebook that makes the machine learning approaches and their outcomes very transparent and well to follow. Mr. Leute in that way not only demonstrated that he is a skilled learning analytics researcher, but also that his thesis can be used to design a course on learning analytics and the insights that can be gained from this research field for every higher education institution. He also stated the limitations of his work and the OULAD dataset, which demonstrates a high level of reflection on the topic.
